Quick start

The fastest path from an empty workspace to a published document.

Practical advice

  • Start with the target reader and the outcome they need.
  • Keep section names stable because they become the navigation spine.
  • Treat export as a delivery step, not as a formatting workaround.

Import existing materials

If the source content already exists, you do not need to rebuild it by hand. In a page section editor, open the File menu and choose Import Word document, Import PDF document, or Import Markdown file.

  • Word import accepts .doc and .docx files.
  • PDF import helps recover text from distributed manuals, guides, and archived materials.
  • Markdown import accepts .md, .markdown, .mdown, and .mkd.
  • If the section is empty, the imported content becomes the main body. If the editor already contains text, the imported material is inserted into the current content.
  • Review headings, tables, and complex formatting after import, especially for PDFs and older Word files.
